San Ureshi, which means “Joy of the Trio”, is a newly formed trio consisting of Guzheng, Erhu and Percussion. Since its establishment in 2019, San Ureshi has been experimenting with various cultures, soundscapes and textures, breaking boundaries through their projects and compositions. Initially San Ureshi was established to deliver a workshop for the Adelaide Festival Centre. It has now evolved to deliver performances and workshops to school, public spaces and festivals, such as Ozasia festival and Adelaide fringe festival. This trio features music by Zhao Liang, Satomi Ohnishi and David Dai.
In March 2019, San Ureshi began to deliver special Multicultural Storytime sets for local councils, such as City of Playford, City of West Torrens and City of Salisbury.
In 2019 - 2020, San Ureshi also received support by a grant from Multicultural Affairs, Department of the Premier and Cabinet to support music without barriers in South Australia and mid-north regions.
Thanks to OzAsia 2019, San Ureshi presented original work for performances in Silk Road - Caravanserai, China Day at Elder Hall, Art Gallery SA in response to artwork No God but God. San Ureshi also delivered workshops to more than 300 students in one week.
