Initially supported by Multicultural SA, we have succesfully piloted the first Multicultural Giggle/ Storytime sessions in SA.

It commenced in Term 3 2016, and sessions ran for a total of 4 school terms across several libraries and councils, including City of Salisbury, City of Playford, City of Port Adelaide Enfield, City of Tea Tree Gully, City of West Torrens, City of Charles Sturt, City of Marion, City of Prospect, City of Unley, Adelaide City Council, City of Burnside.

The aim is to build social cohesion and community harmony, as families build mutual understanding for one another through enjoying songs and nursery rhymes from each others' culture. Additionally, the project welcomed members of new communities to participate and see their culture being accepted in public, and develop their sense of belonging in Australia.

Due to closure of public spaces and current restrictions in place, Multicultural Storytime sessions have had to pause.

This program has supported by a grant from Multicultural Affairs, Department of the Premier and Cabinet & City of Playford's Community & Arts Funding.
